Debuted in a 1-1 draw with Betim, the new home and away shirts don’t just mark a change of manufacturer; they celebrate the moment Galo announced itself to the nation.

The collection pays tribute to one of the most iconic chapters in the club’s history: the 1971 Campeonato Brasileiro title. It was a season that defined Atlético Mineiro as a national force, forever immortalised by Dadá Maravilha’s towering header in the 16th minute of the second half. A goal that didn’t just win a title, but ignited a madness that has passed from head to head, generation to generation, and still pulses through the club today.

The away shirt takes a different route, leaning fully into nostalgia. Inspired by the 1970s, the design is all white, punctuated by a bold black ‘V’ collar and matching black sleeve cuffs. It’s a stripped-back, retro aesthetic that speaks directly to the club’s origins, finished with white shorts and socks for a clean, timeless silhouette.

The launch campaign, conceived by creative studio AQKA, ties everything together under the banner “A Doideira vai pra Cabeças” (“The Madness Goes to Heads”). Drawing directly from Dadá Maravilha’s iconic header in 1971, the visuals channel the idea that this madness — this identity — has never stopped spreading. From a shirt draped over a tube TV replaying Dadá’s goal, to the Rooster himself appearing alongside the kit, the campaign is loaded with symbolism.

Featuring Dadá Maravilha, current squad members Lyanco, Dudu and Hingredy, alongside influencer Anna Luiza Chagas (Menina Veneno), the portraits are intense, expressive and full of attitude. Each face becomes a vessel for Atlético’s “insane” genius — a reminder that every player, every fan, carries a piece of that historic moment forward.
